Description
Janome 224A Sewing Machine
If you are just starting out, or you want a straightforward machine that simply gets on with the job, the Janome 224A is a lovely place to begin. There are only two dials to think about, so you can spend your time sewing rather than working out what everything does.
Underneath the friendly exterior is proper Janome engineering. The aluminium diecast body keeps everything steady as you sew, so your stitches stay neat and even, whether you are running up curtains or hemming a pair of school trousers. It is also light enough at around 5.4kg to carry to a class or lift out of a cupboard without a fuss, and the soft cover keeps the dust off between projects.
You get 14 built in stitches covering all the everyday essentials, straight, zigzag, stretch and a tidy four step buttonhole, with stitch width up to 5mm and length up to 4mm. The convertible free arm slips inside cuffs, sleeves and little trouser legs, and the front loading bobbin is easy to see and easy to reload. Snap on feet make changing from the standard foot to the zip, buttonhole or blind hem foot the work of a moment, and there is a twin needle facility when you fancy a smart double topstitch.
Included in the box: standard zigzag foot, sliding buttonhole foot, zip foot, adjustable blind hem foot, darning plate, three bobbins, needle pack, seam ripper, foot control, soft cover and instruction book.
Every new machine comes with a two year Janome guarantee, plus a free lesson with us so you leave knowing exactly how to use it. We are always at the end of the phone if you need a hand later on.
