The Brother Stellaire XJ1 is one of the most capable combined sewing and embroidery machines Brother has ever produced, and this pre-owned example represents exceptional value at £3,499 against a new price of £7,499.

This machine has been owned for approximately three years and has been fully serviced by our in-house engineer here at Sewing Machine World before going on sale. It comes complete with its original packaging, making safe UK delivery straightforward, and includes a 12 month guarantee as standard.

What makes the Stellaire XJ1 so special?

The XJ1 offers a huge 9.5 x 14 inch embroidery area (360 x 240mm), giving you the space to tackle large scale embroidery projects without re-hooping. The workspace extends to 56 square inches in total, with 11.25 inches from needle to arm, making it equally suited to quilting, dressmaking, and working with bulky fabrics.

On the embroidery side you have 727 built-in designs and 24 embroidery fonts, with the My Design Snap app allowing you to position designs using your phone camera or convert photos and line art directly into embroidery data. The My Design Center on the machine’s 10.1 inch HD touchscreen lets you create and customise designs directly without a computer.

For sewing, the XJ1 carries 727 stitches across decorative and utility options, four sewing fonts, and a laser vision guide that projects a straight line onto your fabric for perfectly accurate stitching. Multi directional sewing up to eight directions sideways is also included.

Speed reaches up to 1,500 stitches per minute, and practical features like automatic thread cutting, automatic tension, upper and bobbin thread sensors, and a quick set drop in bobbin make the machine as easy to use as it is powerful.

Upgrade Kit included

This machine comes with the Brother Stellaire XJ1 premium upgrade kit, which brings the machine up to near XJ2 specification. The kit adds couching capability, two point embroidery positioning with LED pointer, matrix copy function, stitch tapering, additional decorative fill and line designs, My Stitch Monitor for wireless embroidery monitoring, and three new Sashiko stitches among other enhancements –  The magnetic frame is not included.
