The Brother Innov-is 880E embroidery machines will transform and personalise everyday clothing and accessories with unique colourful embroidery. It is packed full of easy-to-use features, many of which can be accessed via the central control panel and large 4.9” colour touchscreen.
Perfection comes as standard with this machine. Drop your needle exactly where it needs to be with the LED needle pointer for perfect positioning. The thread trimmer function neatly trims any excess threads for you. Bye, bye snips!
You can programme your machine to automatically lower the presser foot and start embroidering when you press the start/stop button. And the Brother Innov-is 880E automatically detects fabric being sewn and adjusts the tension to suit.
You’ll spend more time creating and less time setting up with the advanced needle threader, automatic upper and lower thread sensors, stitch out speeds of up to 850 stitches per minute and drop-in bobbin.
Featuring brand new embroidery designs, pattern editing and colour sorting, your projects will be ‘sew’ unique – just like you. A large working area and generous embroidery space of 260 x 160 mm give you plenty of room to express your creativity. And for our quilters, we’ve built-in new quilt embroidery blocks and border designs!
With wireless connectivity you can wirelessly transfer embroidery data with the free Design Database Transfer* program. You can also use the function to easily keep up with Brother’s software developments. Or use the built-in USB port to add more patterns directly to the machine.
The Innov-is 880E comes with built-in tutorials, so you’ll always have an embroidery tutor at your side.

Embroidery Area
The 260 x 160 mm embroidery area gives you plenty of room to work on large, detailed designs without needing to rehoop. Whether you’re personalising a jacket, stitching a quilt block, or working on an intricate monogram, you won’t feel restricted for space. Three frames are included as standard — 260 x 160 mm, 150 x 150 mm, and 100 x 100 mm — covering a good range of project sizes right out of the box.
USB Connectivity
The built-in USB port lets you load embroidery designs directly onto the machine from a memory stick — no PC required. You can expand your pattern library whenever you like, going well beyond the 258 designs already built in. It also works alongside the wireless connection, giving you two convenient ways to get new designs onto the machine.
WLAN Data Transfer Enabled
Connect the 880E to your home Wi-Fi and transfer embroidery designs wirelessly using Brother’s free Design Database Transfer app (Windows only). You can also receive firmware updates over the same connection, keeping your machine up to date with the latest Brother developments without needing to visit a dealer. The Artspira app adds even more flexibility — use it on your mobile or tablet to design original embroidery patterns and send them straight to the machine.
Built-in fonts
With 13 built-in embroidery fonts — including nine alphabet styles, one Cyrillic, and three Japanese — you’ve got everything you need for personalised gifts, monogramming, and decorative lettering. The text editing functions let you curve text, adjust spacing, arrange letters in an array, and input multiple lines, all directly on the touchscreen. Combined with the 140 built-in frame patterns, your lettering projects can be finished off to a really polished standard.
Workspace
An 8.3″ workspace to the right of the needle gives you significantly more room than most machines in this class. That extra space makes a real difference when you’re working on larger projects like quilts, curtains, or garments — you’re not constantly fighting to keep fabric from bunching or dragging. Combined with the optional wide table accessory, the 2700 becomes a genuinely capable machine for bigger, more ambitious work.
Advanced needle threader
Threading a needle repeatedly throughout a project is one of those small frustrations that adds up quickly. The 2700’s advanced needle threader takes care of it in seconds — follow the thread guide, press the lever, and you’re ready to sew. It works reliably with standard needle sizes and means you’re spending more time creating and less time squinting at the eye of a needle.
LED pointer
The built-in LED needle pointer projects a light to show you exactly where the needle will enter the fabric before you start stitching. This is particularly useful when embroidering on clothing or items where placement really matters — you can position your design with confidence rather than guesswork. Pair it with the on-screen design preview and you’ll know exactly how the finished result will look before you commit.
Lighting
The 2700 has two built-in LED lights positioned to illuminate your work area properly, reducing eye strain during longer sewing sessions. The lighting makes a noticeable difference when you’re working with dark fabrics or detailed embroidery, giving you a clear view of exactly where your needle is hitting. It’s one of those things you only really appreciate when you’ve tried sewing under poor light.
Automatic presser foot functions
The 2700 gives you three ways to lower the presser foot automatically — the Start/Stop button, the knee lift, or the foot pedal — so you can keep both hands on your work at all times. The knee lift is especially useful when quilting or working on larger pieces, freeing you up to guide the fabric properly. The pivot function works alongside this, automatically lifting the foot with the needle down so you can rotate your work cleanly at corners without losing your place.
Drop-in bobbin
The quick-set drop-in bobbin is simple to load and easy to monitor — a clear cover lets you see at a glance how much thread is left so you’re not caught out mid-project. The lower thread sensor adds an extra layer of reassurance, automatically stopping the machine if the bobbin thread runs out or breaks. It’s one of those features you don’t think about until you’ve used a machine without it
Bobbin Winder
The built-in bobbin winder winds bobbins quickly and consistently without needing to remove any thread from the machine. It stops automatically when the bobbin is full, so there’s no risk of overfilling. A small thing, but it keeps your workflow moving rather than interrupting it.
