Built-in stitches

Pivot function
The presser foot automatically lifts as the needle remains lowered. Allows the fabric to be turned quickly and accurately.

ICAPS – Continuous Automatic Pressure System
The ICAPS fabric sensor system continuously detects fabric thickness while sewing and automatically adjusts pressure to ensure even stitch quality over different fabric thicknesses.

Slide speed
Slide speed control adjusts speed from slow to fast. This can also be set to alter stitch width whilst sewing.

Advanced one-action needle threading system
Simply follow the thread guide, lower the lever and the needle is threaded for you.

LED lighting

SFDS (Square Feed Drive System)

Presser foot up/down button
The presser foot up/down button is conveniently located on the front of the machine.

Lockstitch button
At the touch of a button, tie-off stitches can be easily sewn at the beginning and end of the stitch. When pressing the button while sewing a decorative stitch, the machine will stop automatically after completing the motif.

Thread cutter button
Simply cut your sewing thread at the touch of a button before removing your work from the machine.

Fully automatic thread tension
Automatically adjusts thread tension to best suit the fabric being sewn.

Side feed
Side feed for multi-directional sewing in four directions with straight and zigzag stitches. Sews extra-large decorative stitches up to 40 mm wide.

Customised settings
Allows you to adjust the stitch width and length to your personal preference and save these to memory for future use. Adjust and refine thread tension to suit whichever project you’re working on.

Drop feed
The feed is easily lowered for free motion or free hand sewing – useful for quilting.

Needle mode selection key (single/twin)
Easily switches between single and twin needle sewing. Initial needle position function sets the needle position to the left or centre, making it easy to sew from the desired position.

Unfortunately the machine was on back order with Janome but both Sasha and Steve communicated this to me and as soon as it arrived with them they called me up so that I could go to view the machine. It was a 60 mile journey to Kings Lynn for me however it really was worth it instead of taking a chance ordering a machine online that I hadn’t even seen. Sasha was helpful demonstrating and gave me confidence to go forward with the purchase. She spent time with me ensuring I had covered anything I was unsure about, lovely, lovely young lady. Rita could not have been more patient, spending as much time as I needed to demo the embroidery machine I was interested in. Though there are videos on you tube etc,  nothing beats being able to see it for yourself and ask questions. Given that these are not cheap machines, it’s definitely worth a trip. Without any sales pressure I was pleased to order the machine, which arrived 2 days later. I haven’t had to avail myself of the offer of a half hour lesson, but it’s there if I need it, and they service and repair too. I highly recommend a visit - you won’t be disappointed.

I had done a lot of online research for the particular machine I was interested in but wanted to see the machine in person before ordering, made contact with Sasha and arranged for a demonstration, she ran me through the workings of the machine so I could place my order with confidence. Nothing was too much trouble when accommodating delivery arrangements to fit in with my holiday dates. I feel confident should I need any help in future I will be able to contact staff without worry. A friend loaned me her Toyota overlocker which after trial and error I managed to get working, however, not with the cones of thread supplied.  Steve diagnosed the need for 4 small cones for the thread to sit on and within 10 minutes, I was on my way, stocked up with sewing machine supplies and an overlocker free of its naughtiness. And did I mention the 10 minutes included a quick peek at potential future machine purchases?  What a selection!  Thoroughly recommend.    I will be back!
