Juki MCS 1800 Coverstitch. Introducing a Specialized Cover Stitch & Chain Stitch Machine That Takes Sewing Up a Notch

Cover stitch

Perfect for various applications, such as simple hems, sleeve cuffs and necklines. Since the stitching stretches, it is ideal for stretch fabrics. 4-thread cover stitch, 3-thread cover stitch (wide), 3-thread cover stitch (narrow).

Chain stitch

Since the lower thread forms a chain on the wrong side of the fabric, the stitch is strong when it is stretched, making it ideal for stitching the waist and side seams of pants. It also does well as decorative stitching for necklines.

Presser foot lifter

The presser foot is higher at its tip in order to allow the fabric to easily be inserted at the start of sewing. In addition, raising the presser foot lifter to the first position raises the presser foot 8 mm. Further raising the presser foot lifter raises the presser foot to 10 mm. This allows you to easily insert even thick layers of fabric, for example, when attaching ribbing, under the presser foot.

Adjustable differential feed

Adjust the differential feed to sew beautiful finishes, even with stretch fabrics such as knits and georgette.

Simple looper threading

The looper can easily be threaded since it can be lowered at the press of a button.

Extension plate with seam guidelines

The seam guidelines on the extension plate are a useful aid for sewing

Exterior thread cutter

The exterior thread cutter is useful when removing the fabric after raising the presser foot at the end

Adjustable presser foot pressure

The presser foot pressure can be adjusted according to the type of fabric being sewn.

Presser foot with guide

A presser foot equipped with a guide that presses down on both the left and right sides is provided as a standard accessory.

I decided to upgrade my Janome sewing machine and had an idea of the one I wanted. Unfortunately the machine was on back order with Janome but both Sasha and Steve communicated this to me and as soon as it arrived with them they called me up so that I could go to view the machine. It was a 60 mile journey to Kings Lynn for me however it really was worth it instead of taking a chance ordering a machine online that I hadn’t even seen. Sasha was helpful demonstrating and gave me confidence to go forward with the purchase. She spent time with me ensuring I had covered anything I was unsure about, lovely, lovely young lady. Rita was also very welcoming. I have peace of mind knowing that I can drop off the machine to my local fabric & quilting store as Sewing Machine World collects from them weekly to service and repair…excellent service and good value. They gave me a very fair price for trade in so all in all the transaction has been smooth and pleasant. I would highly recommend using this business. Thank you

Delighted with my new machine! When I ordered it I could have had it delivered the same day! I had to delay delivery as I was away but it would have definitely arrived the day after order.

I was delighted with the service from Sewing Machine world. Rita could not have been more patient, spending as much time as I needed to demo the embroidery machine I was interested in. Though there are videos on you tube etc, nothing beats being able to see it for yourself and ask questions. Given that these are not cheap machines, it’s definitely worth a trip. Without any sales pressure I was pleased to order the machine, which arrived 2 days later. I haven’t had to avail myself of the offer of a half hour lesson, but it’s there if I need it, and they service and repair too. I highly recommend a visit - you won’t be disappointed.

Always get such great customer care from Sewing Machine World. I’ve bought a Bernina 570 and Brother overlocker here. Just had a service for my Bernina and it’s running like a dream. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

What a great service! I had done a lot of online research for the particular machine I was interested in but wanted to see the machine in person before ordering, made contact with Sasha and arranged for a demonstration, she ran me through the workings of the machine so I could place my order with confidence. Nothing was too much trouble when accommodating delivery arrangements to fit in with my holiday dates. I feel confident should I need any help in future I will be able to contact staff without worry. Support bricks and mortar shops as you cannot get this level of service online!

Love visiting this shop, staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. Plenty of sewing machines on display to try and have a demonstration. Lots of accessories too. Just bought a new machine and can’t wait to use it, and if I need help, I know who I can call. Thank you all.

A friend loaned me her Toyota overlocker which after trial and error I managed to get working, however, not with the cones of thread supplied. Steve diagnosed the need for 4 small cones for the thread to sit on and within 10 minutes, I was on my way, stocked up with sewing machine supplies and an overlocker free of its naughtiness. And did I mention the 10 minutes included a quick peek at potential future machine purchases? What a selection! Thoroughly recommend. I will be back!
