If embroidery is where your heart really lies, the BX1e Expedition is Brother’s answer to makers who want a machine that does one thing brilliantly rather than splitting its attention. This is a dedicated embroidery machine through and through, with the space, the smarts and the design library to match ambitious projects.

You get a generous 8″ x 14″ embroidery field with 10″ of throat space, so bigger designs, quilt blocks and multi hoop projects don’t mean constant repositioning. There are 774 built in embroidery designs to get you started, plus 23 embroidery fonts for monograms, names and personalised gifts, and 140 frame pattern variations for finishing touches.

Getting a design perfectly placed is one of the trickiest parts of embroidery, especially with tricky hooping. The BX1e’s 2 Point Positioning with LED pointer takes the guesswork out of it, using a laser to mark two reference points on your fabric so your design lines up properly even when the hoop isn’t quite straight.

For anyone wanting to push into dimensional work, the machine supports yarn couching with a dedicated couching foot, letting you create raised, textured lettering and decorative effects, along with crochet couching using water soluble stabiliser for a different creative finish. Matrix Copy makes it easy to duplicate and arrange a design across a hoop, which is a lovely time saver if you’re doing patches or repeated motifs.

The BX1e is wirelessly enabled and works with Brother’s Artspira app, so you can browse extra designs, sketch your own patterns on your phone or tablet and send them straight to the machine. The My Stitch Monitoring app lets you keep an eye on progress and get thread alerts remotely too, handy if you like to start a design and get on with something else while it stitches.

Whether you’re making quilt blocks, bags, home décor or in the hoop projects, the BX1e gives you the room, the precision tools and the design library to bring it all together.

Called in today having bought a 2nd hand Janome machine on ebay for an elderly relative. It was described as pretty much unused and had been sitting in a cupboard for 20 years, and it matched the description on arrival. I just wanted it checked over before giving it to its new owner, expecting to leave it for a week or so. Instead the manager of this shop asked to have a look at it, spent maybe 10 minutes looking it over and giving it a trial run stitching and confirmed its condition. We chose some cotton to go with the machine which was all we were charged for. He could not have been more helpful, obliging, personable & informative and the place itself has a quiet air of professionalism and expertise. Many thanks; recommended.

Couldn’t be more helpful, I have rung and visited the shop and have been met with such helpful accommodating people each time. Couldn’t recommend them enough. I was taught how to thread and sort my machine out after I was struggling with it even when I hadn’t purchased from them directly. Cannot fault these people

Delivery is free to mainland UK on every machine. How quickly it arrives depends on the brand and whether we have it in stock, so if you need it by a certain date, give us a ring on 01553 773362 and we’ll tell you honestly what to expect. If anything’s on back order, we’ll call you and let you know where you stand.

Ring us on 01553 773362 or reply to your order email. You’ll speak to someone who sews and knows the machine, not a call centre. We’re happy to talk you through threading, tension or anything else that’s puzzling you.

Yes. Tell us what you’ve got and we’ll give you a fair price for it against your new machine.

Every new machine comes with its full manufacturer warranty, and we’re an approved warranty agent. We service and repair in our own workshop in King’s Lynn, so you’re not sending it off to a stranger.
