Bernina 790 – The Top of the Range Model

The Bernina 790 Plus e is one of the top of the range models and it comes with the new SDT Embroidery Unit, Bernina Stitch Regulator (BSR) and also has an integrated dual feed system.

The hook sews high-precision stitches up to 9mm in width with speeds up to 1,000 stitches per minute. The bobbin holds 70% more thread than standard bobbins so you can sew & embroider for longer periods of time.

The 790 offers 10 inches to the right of the needle which is perfect for large projects and an extension table comes included so you can enjoy a large sewing area.

The new large embroidery module with Smart Drive Technology increases the embroidery speed by up to 55%, allowing you to get your projects done quicker but at an even better stitch quality. SDT is smoother and quieter for a better experience, with an embroidery area of up to 400 x 260mm.

With a 7” coloured touch screen you can easily edit embroidery designs, create your own personal stitches and seamlessly select stitches.

You can save your customised designs onto a USB or into the machines memory. The machine has over 1300 stitches built-in and over 300 embroidery designs.

To make your sewing experience even easier the thread is cut automatically when you reach the end of a seam or a colour change in embroidery. The presser foot lowers automatically at the beginning of a seam.

A range of hoops come included with the embroidery module; the small, medium and large oval hoop. You can also buy the mega and maxi hoops extra, so that you’ll always have one suitable for your designs.

The BSR is perfect for free motion embroidery and quilting as it calculates the stitch length for you and can be used with straight stitch or zig zag.

The innovative Bernina dual feed is easily engaged when needed and tucks completely out of the way when it’s not. It is excellent for sewing a variety of fabrics at the best quality.
