Horn Tasman

Description

The Horn Tasman is an electric lift sewing cabinet, and if you have been sewing at a kitchen table or on a desk that was never meant for it, it will change how often you sit down to sew.

A cabinet is one of those purchases that sounds like a luxury and turns out to be the thing that gets used every single day. Your machine lives at the right height, the work surface is flat and continuous, and when you have finished, the whole lot disappears.

Headline Features

Electric lift

The machine rises to sewing height and drops away out of sight at the touch of a button. No lifting, no strain and nothing to wrestle into position.

Three positions

Flatbed for a continuous surface level with the machine bed, free arm for cuffs and sleeves, and storage for when the machine drops away entirely.

A proper flatbed surface

Your fabric is supported all the way round the needle rather than hanging off the edge of the machine, which makes a noticeable difference to how a large project handles.

Lift up rear table

Doubles the cabinet as a cutting out table or a design surface, which is usually the other thing a sewing room is short of.

Built in storage

Drawers and compartments for threads, feet and the small things that otherwise end up in a tin somewhere.

Three finishes

American Grey Oak, Weathered Oak and White, so it can either match your room or quietly disappear into it.

Cabinets are difficult to judge from a photograph, because the thing that matters is the height, the reach and how it feels to sit at. We have Horn furniture on the showroom floor, so come and sit at one.

Delivery

Horn pride themselves on delivering orders within a 4-5 week timescale, utilising our own drivers and vehicles. If we encounter exceptional circumstances and cannot meet this delivery timescale, we will inform you in advance. Once your order is ready to be dispatched, we will inform you a minimum of 3 days prior to delivery and provide you with a 3-hour delivery window.

Should you require a 7-10 day delivery from available stock, please advise us when you place your order. We will book an external courier at an additional cost, however installation will not be available when using this service. Note: Installation is not available for deliveries made in Zone C on the map shown below.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Called in today having bought a 2nd hand Janome machine on ebay for an elderly relative. It was described as pretty much unused and had been sitting in a cupboard for 20 years, and it matched the description on arrival. I just wanted it checked over before giving it to its new owner, expecting to leave it for a week or so. Instead the manager of this shop asked to have a look at it, spent maybe 10 minutes looking it over and giving it a trial run stitching and confirmed its condition. We chose some cotton to go with the machine which was all we were charged for.
