Why buy from us?
Baby Lock Aspire
is the follow-up model to the baby lock desire3. However, it is not just a compact all-rounder and effortlessly masters the entire repertoire of overlock, cover stitch and combined stitches. The Aspire comes with a whole range of additional amenities. For example, it is equipped with the latest baby lock threading system for all loopers, has a larger working area and a side-mounted Presser Foot Lift. It also includes a Knee Lever and a newly developed waste bin.
Extra Space – Around the Needle Bar and Throat Space, the Aspire scores points with its comfortable amount of space. This not only makes threading easier. The extra space also allows all the accessories for our combined machines to be used on the Aspire.
Innovative threading system – The Aspire is equipped with the ExtraordinAir system, allowing you to effortlessly thread both the Overlock and Chain Looper at an impressive speed with just a button press. Additionally, the Aspire features optimised thread paths and guides. A streamlined guide for the needle threads, along with an enhanced thread path for the Chain Looper, ensures that even extra thick textured threads or other heavier decorative threads can be threaded with ease.
Unequalled seam variety with up to 8 threads – Rolled hem, flatlock seam or cover stitch: with a maximum of 5 threads, Aspire enables a very wide range of decorative effects or seam combinations.
Our combined baby lock machines are designed so that they can be used both as a fully-fledged overlock machine and as a fully-fledged cover machine. But combination machines can do even more, because both areas work together. With the desire3, many overlock seams can therefore be sewn in combination with cover seams, up to a maximum of 8 working threads. So you can experiment and combine to your heart’s content.
Precise Differential Feed – Rolled Hem, Flatlock, or Cover Stitch:
The Aspire‘s basic configuration, featuring a maximum of five threads, allows for a wide range of stitch combinations and decorative effects. Additionally, the optional Spool Holder enables sewing with up to eight threads.
Adjustable seam width/stitch width – When the stitch width dial is adjusted, the stitch finger and the upper blade move together. Thanks to this special technology, the seam width can be adjusted very easily. The actual seam width changes and not just the cutting width as is the case with conventional machines. Overcuts and undercuts are prevented and there is no need to adjust the amount of looper thread. The stitch becomes wider or narrower without the need for annoying and time-consuming adjustment.
Rolled hem and stitch length adjustment – Clearly arranged and accessible at all times, the stitch length can be set with just one dial. The stitch length can be varied from 0.75 to 4 to suit the project. The setting values are on a simple scale. At the same time, you can easily switch to the rolled hem function without having to carry out any additional steps. In the rolled hem setting, the stitch finger is in a lowered position. This enables a very narrow seam.
Foot lift height – The Aspire has an extra high, two-stage foot lift of up to 8 mm. This means that even thicker layers of fabric fit between the foot and the feed dog.
Automatic thread feed (ATD system) – The Aspire leaves nothing to be desired in terms of user-friendliness and fabric processing. Thanks to the ATD system, a pioneering baby lock invention, a flawless seam is always achieved – irrespective of the type of fabric or thread and without any manual readjustment! The tedious search for the right thread tension is a thing of the past with baby lock sewing machines.
Subsidiary Looper – For two thread seams, the subsidiary looper of the Aspire can be activated very easily. It is firmly attached to the upper looper, so cannot be misplaced or lost.
Setting the foot pressure – The foot pressure regulator on the Aspire allows you to individually adjust the pressure to the type of fabric. Whether fine, firm or heavy fabric – the presser foot pressure can be adjusted accordingly at any time. With the help of the easy-to-read scale, you can recognize and change the required basic and foot pressure setting.
Knee lever and foot catcher – A Knee Lever is included with the Aspire.
Thanks to the Knee Lever, the Presser Foot can be raised or lowered with the knee. This means you always have both hands free to guide the fabric safely.
The Aspire comes with the latest generation of the
baby lock Trim Catcher. The Needle Collection Tray is directly integrated into the Trim Catcher and the Catcher is connected direct to the machine. The highlight: The Trim Catcher can remain on the machine when threading the loopers and all adjustment dials are accessible at all times.
Practical accessory compartment – You can store important utensils in the practical accessory compartment located under the spool holder. The scope of delivery includes:
Vertical needle system – While most machines use angled needles, which can push and damage the fabric, the needles on baby lock sewing machines are inserted vertically, piercing directly into the fabric. This exclusive function gives better needle penetration for heavier fabrics. It also gives you greater stitch reliability and strength when sewing.
Even more sewing comfort – All baby lock sewing machines are extremely user-friendly and comfortable to use. The above-mentioned features are complemented by a range of additional amenities. For example, all machines have long-lasting and powerful LED lighting, a high level of stitch safety, a needle catch tray and a stable telescopic thread guide. The short blade/needle distance of the Aspire supports clean seam formation.
Safety and care – Wherever sewing takes place, fibers fly. Regular cleaning is essential due to the sewing dust. This prevents large amounts of lint from piling up under the stitch plate and affecting sewing. The side cover on the Aspire can be opened, which makes cleaning much easier.
The Aspire also sews with the foot raised or the covers open.
EXCELLENT Based on 123 reviews Posted on Lyn KirkTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What a refreshing experience! I was treated with the utmost courtesy and helpfulness by Sasha today - what a lovely young woman. My wishes were dealt with speedily and with expertise. So looking forward to collecting my new Brother sewing machine. Thankyou!Posted on JoolzieTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I decided to upgrade my Janome sewing machine and had an idea of the one I wanted. Unfortunately the machine was on back order with Janome but both Sasha and Steve communicated this to me and as soon as it arrived with them they called me up so that I could go to view the machine. It was a 60 mile journey to Kings Lynn for me however it really was worth it instead of taking a chance ordering a machine online that I hadn’t even seen. Sasha was helpful demonstrating and gave me confidence to go forward with the purchase. She spent time with me ensuring I had covered anything I was unsure about, lovely, lovely young lady. Rita was also very welcoming. I have peace of mind knowing that I can drop off the machine to my local fabric & quilting store as Sewing Machine World collects from them weekly to service and repair…excellent service and good value. They gave me a very fair price for trade in so all in all the transaction has been smooth and pleasant. I would highly recommend using this business. Thank youPosted on Carol-Anne RobertsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Delighted with my new machine! When I ordered it I could have had it delivered the same day! I had to delay delivery as I was away but it would have definitely arrived the day after order.Posted on JulieTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was delighted with the service from Sewing Machine world. Rita could not have been more patient, spending as much time as I needed to demo the embroidery machine I was interested in. Though there are videos on you tube etc, nothing beats being able to see it for yourself and ask questions. Given that these are not cheap machines, it’s definitely worth a trip. Without any sales pressure I was pleased to order the machine, which arrived 2 days later. I haven’t had to avail myself of the offer of a half hour lesson, but it’s there if I need it, and they service and repair too. I highly recommend a visit - you won’t be disappointed.Posted on Kim LawrenceTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Always get such great customer care from Sewing Machine World. I’ve bought a Bernina 570 and Brother overlocker here. Just had a service for my Bernina and it’s running like a dream. Can’t recommend them highly enough.Posted on Julie JervisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What a great service! I had done a lot of online research for the particular machine I was interested in but wanted to see the machine in person before ordering, made contact with Sasha and arranged for a demonstration, she ran me through the workings of the machine so I could place my order with confidence. Nothing was too much trouble when accommodating delivery arrangements to fit in with my holiday dates. I feel confident should I need any help in future I will be able to contact staff without worry. Support bricks and mortar shops as you cannot get this level of service online!Posted on Hayley CousinsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Love visiting this shop, staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. Plenty of sewing machines on display to try and have a demonstration. Lots of accessories too. Just bought a new machine and can’t wait to use it, and if I need help, I know who I can call. Thank you all.Posted on Sally PoulterTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. A friend loaned me her Toyota overlocker which after trial and error I managed to get working, however, not with the cones of thread supplied. Steve diagnosed the need for 4 small cones for the thread to sit on and within 10 minutes, I was on my way, stocked up with sewing machine supplies and an overlocker free of its naughtiness. And did I mention the 10 minutes included a quick peek at potential future machine purchases? What a selection! Thoroughly recommend. I will be back!
